Now you can create your own customized search engine for no cost. You can also add this search engine to your blog also. All you have to do is go to Google Create Custom Search Engine and there click on "create custom search engine" . From there follow the wizard and you will get your custom search engine.

I have some tips for you here while creating your search engine. While creating. you will be asked to enter the URLs of the web pages that you want Google to search for. There instead of entering domain name as "www.mydomain.com" (without inverts) enter it as "*.mydomain.com/*"(Without inverts). Here asterisk sign acts as a wildcard and tells your Goolgle search engine to search even for "mydomain.com" rather than "www.mydomain.com".

The disadvantage is that Google puts ads on the search pages, but I think that's not much of a disadvantage.
