Here is the easy way to change the Startup and Shutdown sound very easily. I had already written in a post about the problem of not getting the Startup and Shutdown Sound in the computer. This is also done in the same way.

1. To change the System Startup and Shutdown Sound, go to the following address in your computer: X: WINDOWS\Media\. Here X: is the basic drive in your computer.
2. There, replace the file Windows XP Startup and Windows XP Shutdown to your desired file.
3. Then change the name of the replaced file with Windows XP Startup and Windows XP Shutdown.

NOTE: The files you replace must be copied for backup purposes. The files you replace must also be in the WAV format.
